Low-cost smartphone launched by T-Mobile
T-Mobile has launched a smartphone specifically designed for buyers on a budget, pricing the device at just £99.
The Vivacity is powered by Android 2.3 and, although it does not have a quad core processor or a titanium case like several other smartphones on the UK market, it does benefit from a 3.5 inch WVGA display and a five megapixel camera.
In addition to this, the styling of the Vivacity is reminiscent of Apple's iPhone, although clearly the build quality is not going to equal the iPhone.
Meanwhile, users can enjoy use of Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth, along with 512MB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slow to increase this as required.
Paul Jevons, director of products and devices at Everything Everywhere, approved of the gadget despite its short battery life and lack of internal storage.
“The T-Mobile Vivacity gives you everything you want from a smartphone,” he noted. “It offers the latest Android software, a large, high resolution touchscreen display and a stunning design – perfect for anyone looking for premium performance and great value for money.”
The Vivacity can be purchased in black or white and is available on pay-as-you-go for around £999 or for free on pay monthly plans of £10 or above.
