Leaked schedule reveals highly-anticipated mobile releases

A document has leaked online detailing the UK release dates for many of the most hotly anticipated mobile phone handsets for the rest of the year.

The mobile phone comparison site Omio has published what is purportedly a schedule for all mobile phone manufacturers. Crucially it reveals that the HTC Gold – the first handset to be powered by Windows Phone-7 – will hit the UK market in November.

The list documents many working titles or code names for models, but Omio's editor, Ernest Doku, said that wasn't a barrier.

"We knew of the Gold code name denoting HTC Windows Phone 7 – it had been kicking around for a while," he explained.

"If HTC Windows Phone 7 powered handsets are falling this side of 2010, this fits in with Microsoft's predicted release date"

Doku believes the list he has obtained confirms the Gold and thus the existence of the first HTC Windows Phone 7, however, he would not reveals where the list came from.

"Due to the nature of the leak we can't divulge too much about it," he confided.

Also on the list were major releases from Sony, BlackBerry and Samsung as well as the confirmation of the Nokia E7, which will combine the consumer-friendly stylings of the N-Series with the messaging power of the E-Series handsets from the Finnish firm.
